Posterous is acting weird

Is anyone else having trouble with posterous? It wouldn't let me log in with Facebook connect, and I have to keep enabling it to work with facebook. I will post this and see what happens. Maybe it will work now. Weird

Where do you get the most comments?

Odds are most of you have your Twitter and Facebook linked together. I did for a while and then decided to unlink them for several reasons.

Anyways, I noticed even when I had them linked I would get way more comments on Facebook than on Twitter. I have been trying to figure out why. I think what it comes down to, is that on Facebook is where my friends are that I have met face to face or have known for a really long time. The majority of my twitter followers or people I'm following are people I like to listen to, but I have probably not met face to face. I would love to meet all my followers face to face, but his could be difficult.

What it comes down to is that people I have met in person are more likely to comment on my posts or status updates, than people I haven't met. I also feel like the people I don't know who comment understand social media and how to leverage it better than others.

Does this make any sense at all?

Where do most of your comments come from? People you know or don't? Facebook or Twitter?

You will always remember where you were

This time 2 years ago I was in one of my best friend's, David Irons, wedding. It was a very joyous day. I remember it like it was yesterday, but not because of the wedding. September 14th, 2007 was the day my grandpa, mom's dad, died. We called him Bubbee. He was sick at the time and we knew the day was going to come we just didn't really know when. I remember getting a phone call from my dad about 5 minutes before the wedding started. He didn't tell me then, but I could here it in his voice. My parents told me later that night when I got home after the wedding. Both of my grandmas are still alive, but I really miss my grandpas. I was fortunate to have all 4 grandparents living until I was in my 20's. I have great memories and will always hold on to those.

Why is it we remember exactly what we were doing and where we were when things like this happen in our lives? And why do they always feel like they happened yesterday?

What's the most important Social Media site to your church or business?

I'm currently trying to figure this out. Right now I would have to say that facebook is the most important site. Twitter is second. Personally and business wise I get more comments on Facebook then I do on Twitter, and most of the time I post the same things. There seems to be a lot more interaction. I like both and both seem to serve a little different function. That part I'm still trying to figure out.

How do you use Twitter and Facebook? How do you use them differently? Please share. I love learning about this stuff and could use some insight.

Lessons from Vitamin Water

Even though Vitamin Water has a website at www.vitaminwater.com they seem to use their Facebook page as their primary online presence, www.facebook.com/vitaminwater. I have been paying attention to this because it's pretty amazing. They have over 600,000 fans and growing. The interaction on the page is also very amazing. They have tons of comments and tons of "likes".

It would be awesome if you could use Facebook as your main website. The only hard part would be that not everyone has a Facebook account to connect with you, but even without a Facebook account you can still gain access to fan pages. You just can't interact by adding comments or sending messages to the brand or church.

So, if you can't afford to build a website or don't know what you are doing when it comes to coding or you don't have the resources to make a website happen then a Facebook page is your answer.

This is one of the many reasons I prefer Facebook over any other social media sites.

What other churches or businesses have you seen that use Facebook as their primary online spot.
There is so much potential for doing this.
What are your thoughts?
What are the positives and negatives?
