Check out the NEW Lifechurch.tv internet campus

This is the e-mail that Lifechurch.tv sent out to people to try out the new internet campus.  If you can, check it out tomorrow morning. Hello Friends! This is a special ask for your online participation and help coming this Sunday. Here at LifeChurch.tv we have been in active development of a brand new internet campus tool to run our online experiences. We are almost ready to push the first version live, but we haven’t gotten a chance to get more universal feedback and to test how it handles the load of a larger number of participants. So, we would like to invite you, your blog readers, your twitter followers, your fellow church staff and friends to come and help us out this coming Sunday (November 16th) at 1pm Central Time. You will be the first group of people outside of LifeChurch.tv to actually interact and use the new tool, and your feedback will be important as we refine the tool for launch. If you could do any or all of the following things we would very much appreciate it!
  1. Write a blog post asking your readers come and participate in this beta test of the new internet campus tool, and include a link to the new internet campus tool.
  2. Twitter about the test on over the next couple of days with the link to the new internet campus we will provide below.
  3. Send an email or other communication (Facebook, etc.) to your fellow church staff or personal network of pastors to have them come and help to evaluate the tool.
  4. Come yourself and participate in the experience and offer up feedback as you notice things. (all feedback can be sent via http://getsatisfaction.com/lifechurchtv to Sam Duregger, who is the Digerati Drago (Project Manager).)

Thought this was odd

Read this article on CNN.  What are your thoughts? I find it funny for a few reasons. In the article a humanist spokesman says agnostics, atheists feel isolated during holidays.  Well the holidays, or as I like to call them Christmas, is to celebrate the birth of Christ.  So they may not believe in God, but maybe they believe in Jesus?  That is why we have the holidays. And, if you don't believe in God why make a scene like this.  Apparently, you somewhat believe in God or you wouldn't make these billboards.  Am I wrong?  I really am just asking.  I want to know. I would love for an atheist or agnostic to chime in on this to help me understand this better.

How are you doing?

Let me guess.  You answered, "Good", didn't you.  Why is that our answer 90% of the time. Are you really good?  If not, why do we lie to ourselves and others? In my life, I have realized I answer "good" because either I don't have time to talk right at that moment or because I don't want you to really know that things suck right now or you really and honestly don't care how I am doing because it's just the question to ask. If you are a Christ follower, a follower of the Way, shouldn't we tell other believers how we are really doing.  Maybe they will pray for us.  Maybe they have a great response that you didn't think of.  Maybe they have the answer you didn't want to hear, but it's the right one. From now on if you ask me how I am doing I hope my answer is not the resounding "good".  I hope I can be honest with you and tell you the truth. Honestly, this will be a tough habit to So, I ask the question again.  How are you really doing? [polldaddy poll=1094444]

So many ideas...

Just trying to figure out where to use them and how. What I mean by this, is, I see my self as an innovaotar and a visionary.  It's just that right now, I don't really have anywhere to put this to use.  I am praying about my next step in ministry and what this looks like.  I really want to end up at a church or a para-church/non-profit organization. So, if you read this, I would love some prayer.  Or if you read this and have any ideas about the para-church/non-profit part let me know.

It is finally here

So glad election day is here.  If you are over the age of 18 you need to vote.  It is your civil duty and responsibility as an American.  If you don't care about politics, you still need to vote. I grew up in a very political family of mayors, city managers and county commissioners.  I love politics and love that we live in a democracy and that we get to vote for who we want to run the country and vote for state propositions that mean something in our lives.  If I didn't vote, my family would probably disown me, but that is not why I vote.  I vote because as a follower of Christ it is very important. If you didn't vote, I urge you to think about it next time.  We should all care about politics.  It's funny how you can care more about stupid things that don't matter, but not care at all about who runs our country and how it is ran.  Please vote.  I don't care who you vote for, just do it.
