Another Christmas come and gone

I can't believe Christmas is already over.  This was my 28th Christmas to celebrate.  It's weird how each Christmas is so different from the others. This is my 8th with out my Dad's dad, my 6th with a niece, my 2nd without my mom's dad, my 2nd with my wife, my 4th as a Californian. I am not sure why I am telling you all this other than to say Christmas is always a little different.  Not just with family members gone or added, but also inthe way I look at Christmas. The story in Luke 2 is always different to me.  I always find something I never noticed before or looked at. I enjoy spending time with my family and make certain that is the priority. I love the fact though that Christmas is different each and every year.  Yes, I miss family members who will not be with us, but I love the family I get to hang with.  I can't change the fact that people are gone, so I have to enjoy every moment with the ones I still have around. I hope your Christmas was different this year, and that it will be each and every year from here on out.  I hope it's different because of who Christ is in your life. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Tokbox is awesome.

Churches with Online Campuses

So, I have really been loving the idea of Church Online.  Someday I would like to be a pastor in that area so I am doing a lot of research.  There are several churches who are doing Church online now and some more who will be in the near future. Here is a list of a few Churches doing it now. I know there are a lot more.  So, if you know of some that are not on this list please add them in the comments.  If you know of any other resources I should be checking out please let me know those as well.  I love to learn. Doing Church Online

What are the top 5 applications or software you need if you are starting an online campus?  Some examples would be Mogulus, Facebook and Twitter.  I know there are other tools you need and could use.  What are they? After going home to Edmond, OK for Thanksgiving and getting a chance to hangout with the guys who run Lifechurch.tv's online campus, Tony Steward, Brandon Donaldson and Robert Davis, I am a huge proponent of doing Church online as long as it is done right. I am starting to research churches who have an online campus or broadcast their services live and not archived. If you are part of a Church who does this or know of some online Churches please let me know.

It's been a while

I am not making an apology for not blogging the last week. How was your Thanksgiving? Mine was great.  I was able to go home to Oklahoma to see my family for an entire week.  I love being able to have quality time with my family, not just quantity.  I have realized that having moved to California, when I go home to Oklahoma I spend way more time with my family. Some of it has to do with getting older too. For those of you who live far from your families, have you noticed this in your own lives?
