My 2010 reading list

I love to read.  During my internship at Saddleback Church one thing that Rick Warren drilled into us, was that leaders are learners.

Other than my mostly daily reading of the Bible these are the books I hope to read this year.

Have you read any of these or do you plan to?  Any thoughts on any of these books?

Forgotten God by Francis Chan

Excavating Jesusby John Crossan and Jonathan Reed

Biblical Literacy by Rabbi Joseph Telushkin

Walking the Bible by Bruce Feiler

Mere Christianityby C.S Lewis

Our Father Abrahamby Marvin R. Wilson

Sketches of Jewish Social Life by Alfred Edersheim

Mad Church Disease by Anne Jackson

How to Read the Bible for All Its Worth by Gordan D. Fee and Douglas Stuart

How to Read the Bible Book by Book by Gordan D. Fee and Douglas Stuart

Getting Things Done by David Allen

So, there is my list.  I have a lot to do in the next 10 months.  I hope to have them done by Christmas, but who knows.

Interesting list. Looks like the only ones on your list I have already is Mad Church Disease, Sketches of Jewish Social Life, and Mere Christianity. All definitely worth reading. I've just launched a NextGen Mentoring group so have a built-in list of 12 books to read with that this year. In addition reading some Gary MacIntosh (Leading Your Church to the Next Level & Beyond the First Visit), Browning's Deliberate SImplicity, Slaughter's Change The World, and Searcy's Ignite. Besides those and others that I review for Thomas Nelson's book review blogger program I will probably read 2-3 dozen books and review most of them on my blog. Thanks for sharing your list. Now I have even more books I should read!
