You will always remember where you were
This time 2 years ago I was in one of my best friend's, David Irons, wedding. It was a very joyous day. I remember it like it was yesterday, but not because of the wedding. September 14th, 2007 was the day my grandpa, mom's dad, died. We called him Bubbee. He was sick at the time and we knew the day was going to come we just didn't really know when. I remember getting a phone call from my dad about 5 minutes before the wedding started. He didn't tell me then, but I could here it in his voice. My parents told me later that night when I got home after the wedding. Both of my grandmas are still alive, but I really miss my grandpas. I was fortunate to have all 4 grandparents living until I was in my 20's. I have great memories and will always hold on to those. Why is it we remember exactly what we were doing and where we were when things like this happen in our lives? And why do they always feel like they happened yesterday?
